This art print shows children embarking toward the future with hope. With the softness of a northern sky and brightly subdued airiness as the setting, a boat is carried to the water by two friends. They have creatively joined forces to prepare their vessel for the journey ahead. Walking on an old wooden log, they carry a boat made of the same material, and with each step, balance is found along the way.

This image was created in 2006 for a 2-year collaborative education initiative and media project with youth from the Lax Kw’alaams band, Tsimshian First Nation, with an exhibition titled ‘Regeneration‘.

Proceeds from ‘Self Determination’ will be donated to Urban Native Youth Association.

‘Self Determination’ is printed at the highest industry standard, on archival paper using the latest Epson Ultrachrome Inks to ensure that your print holds its vibrant bright colors and lasts the tests of time.

All prints are unframed. As framing is a personal choice full of options and specific room requirements, we suggest hiring a professional framer to bring your visions to life.
